As part of The Drum’s ramped-up TV coverage, media editor John McCarthy and TV reporter Hannah Bowler have launched a podcast series, TV Talks. This week Hannah is joined by CTV supremo Todd Cohen to talk about all things QR codes.
Undertone’s Todd Cohen talks QR codes in TV ads
Cohen boasts nearly two decades of experience in TV advertising, holding senior leadership roles at Advanced Television and Samba TV. At Undertone, he serves as vice-president of national video and CTV, sales and works with agencies and brands to help them maximize CTV opportunities. Part of this work has been explaining to brands how to use QR codes in their campaigns.
The pandemic completely reshaped consumers’ QR code habits and accelerated QR code adoption in advertising, especially on TV. Cohen has the lowdown on why QR codes are working so well on TV ads, and offered his top tips for integrating them.
